- Set a clear timetable. Let everyone in the house know how days activities follow each other e.g wake up, brush, breakfast, e-learning, outdoor game & tea etc.
- Prioritize learning. Let your child see it in your actions and emphasis that you want them to pay attention & understand everything learnt.
- Reduce the distractions honestly for you to be watching t.v and expect your toddler to concentrate on e- learning is shooting yourself in the foot.
- Consistency. One of the parents has to own this. Playing hide and seek with your spouse over who should supervise your child is a recipe for disaster. Proverbs 10 :1.
- Don’t switch roles know who is an adult and who is a child. The adults duty is to guide, shape, emphasize etc but not to accept everything the child says.
- Keep your sessions short and allow short breaks to improve attention span.
- Rewards come up with rewards for improvement in areas the toddler is struggling in e.g screen time, games and cartoons etc.
- Forget perfectionism why? It wont work .they are just kids… allow them be. They wont get it all right. Ok?
- Anger, threatening , shouting at your child will not work. Instead develop a consistency in helping your child pick one concept at a time.
- Parental control as if the most important… must be activated on your gadget. Pleaseee.
- Pat yourself on the back and say… I can do it. Yes you can.
